Juha Kankkunen headed a VALTRA T234 tractor at 130 km / h on a snowy track, becoming the new Guinness World Record holder.
The record was made on a snow and ice road in the Lapland region of Finland. The total length of the snow strip was approx. 2,300 meters, and a 50 meter speed control area was fixed as a belt.
The Valtra T234 tractor has a weight of 7,300 Kg. This is a very big weight, but the 6-cylinder turbo diesel generates a power of 1000 Nm and 247 hp.
Guinness World Records has special rules for the world record for the fastest tractor.
In order to determine the speed the tractor makes, it is measured in both directions.
The world record is an average of these two measurements.
